At the Frankfort-Elberta High School:
- Materials accepted:
- Newspaper, office paper, magazines, boxboard, corrugated cardboard, clear glass (no colored glass), #1 and #2 plastic, steel "tin" cans, and aluminum (See Material Preparation Instructions for specifics.)
Hours of operation:
- 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesdays
- 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays
NOTE: There is a $50 fine by the city if anything is dropped off at other than the posted hours.
At the Benzie Central High School:
Materials accepted: Cardboard and paper products ONLY. (See Material Preparation Instructions for details on preparing these products.)
Hours of operation: 24 hours a day.
Benzie County Recyclers is a project by a coalition of local schools, businesses, county government, and citizen groups. Residents and businesses can take recyclables to collection trailers stationed at Benzie Central High School and Frankfort Junior-Senior High School. See specifics above for each location.
